Different Reptiles require different levels of UBV light and so Komodo manufacture a range of their T8 strip lamps with different percentages of output:
- 2% lamp is for reptiles not requiring high levels of UVB, such as Corn Snakes and nocturnal animals
- 5% lamp is for reptiles requiring moderate levels of UBV, such as Leopard Geckos, that are used to shady environments such as rain forests and other tropical locations
- 10% is for reptiles requiring higher levels of UVB, such as Bearded Dragons, that like conditions similar to that associated with desert environments
