Fluval FX6 External Cannister Filter - Super Capacity Yet Very Compact
The new FX6 filter from Fluval improves on the FX5 model by being powered by a much more efficient motor. This gives a better performancce whilst also consuming 10% less electricity! It uses the same Smart Pump technology which not only monitors the pump, impeller speed and force, to make sure it remains powerful and efficient; but also manages the Self-Starting feature and extracts air that may build up inside the system on a 12 hour cycle.
The FX6 has an amazing filter media capacity to produce the cleanest and healthiest results ever. The filter media is placed in stackable baskets, which are designed to eliminate water by-pass, making the filtering far more efficient. These baskets hold a total of 5.9 litres of filter media and they can be stacked in the combination of layers that will work best for your aquarium. Every basket has a foam insert lining for great mechanical pre-filtering, and Instant-release T-handles let you lift and separate the baskets quickly and easily, making routine maintenance simpler.
