Genuine Fluval Carbon Pads Pack of 4 - Fits Fluval 3 Plus Filter
These carbon pads are approx 6cm x 17cm x 1cm and can be easily cut to size to fit other internal aquarium filters.Carbon is essential in fish keeping as it removes harmful substances, colouration in the water and dyes, but it does has a finite life so needs replacing regularly.
The Fluval Carbon are high quality, impregnated active carbon pads specially designed as a fine filter medium, suited to filtering out dyes, harmful liquid substances, medicines and extremely fine suspended particles and contaminants. By removing these, it will improve the water quality, clarity, colour and smell without altering the water properties.
Fluval recommend inserting the carbon pad between two foam pads inside your filter, replacing after one week initially, then renewing regularly (usually every 2-4 weeks).
TOP TIP: To retain beneficial bacteria, never change all filter media at the same time, and always add Fluval Cycle or a bacteria boost after replacing media to speed up the process of colonizing bacteria required for biological filtration.
