The Exo Terra® SunRay Fixture's stylish design suits all kinds of terrariums, and blends well in any living room.
It comes with a SunRay Metal Halide Bulb, an all-in-one light that combines very high light output and heat radiation with optimal levels of UVA and UVB. Exo Terra® SunRay delivers a consistent spectrum, which closely matches natural sunlight, contributing to your pet's overall well-being.
The combination of the correct wavelength UVB and heat enables your reptile to produce its own vitamin D3 for proper calcium absorption and helps prevent metabolic diseases (e.g. MBD). The powerful light output and the balanced UV rays stimulate the appetite, breeding behavior and the overall health of reptiles.
The aluminum facetted reflector produces an evenly distributed light beam. Aluminum dissipates heat very effectively, resulting in a longer lifespan and a more stable operation than glass reflectors. Exo Terra® SunRay can be used as a sole light source, which is great if you have a smaller terrarium and need to save space.
Please note that spare/extra bulbs are available to purchase separately, but each bulb needs to be fitted into the correct ballast, for example if you need a 70w bulb you will need the 70w ballast fixture. They are not interchangeable, and the replacement bulbs must only be used in the Sunray Metal Halide Fixture.
Comes with strong adhesive pads which will attach to both wood and glass, the height of the lamp arm can be adjusted up or down to bring your light further away from the terrarium or closer, and can be swivelled 360 degrees giving you complete flexibility over where to position the lamp.

TOP TIP: Before using the adhesive pads to secure the lamp for the first time, try resting the lamp holder over the terrarium to check you have the correct wattage. If it does not reach high enough temperature you may need to go up to the next size. Once the pads are stuck down, they are very strong and therefore difficult to remove easily.
